Ferrari reveals one-off 'blueprint' livery for the United States Grand Prix

Ferrari has unveiled a special SF-26 livery with title sponsor HP for the United States Grand Prix in Austin. According to RacingNews365, the design shows sketches and technical drawings that normally stay hidden under the bodywork.

Ferrari will race in Austin with a car that looks like it is still on the drawing board. The team has revealed a one-off livery for the United States Grand Prix, created with title sponsor HP, and it is built around the idea that every Ferrari starts as a line on paper.

What the livery shows

According to RacingNews365, the design features sketches, technical drawings and blueprint-inspired graphics, the kind of material that normally ends up hidden beneath the finished bodywork. The team describes it as a tribute to the designers, engineers and technicians behind the car's performance.

Other reports describe a white section around the cockpit that runs towards the engine cover, with a blue HP logo in the centre and the rest of the SF-26 staying in Ferrari red. Those details come from single reports and are not part of the team's own description.

A look that was teased

The reveal followed several hints. Ferrari had presented new white race suits for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on Monday 19 October, with an inscription naming an HP special livery for the Austin round. A short teaser video with HP followed before the car itself was shown on Wednesday 21 October.

It is the second one-off design Ferrari has used this year, after a concept livery for its home race in Italy last month. Ferrari ran a blue HP-themed livery at the Miami round last year.

Ferrari is not alone in changing its look for Texas. Mercedes, Haas, Cadillac and Aston Martin have also announced special designs for the weekend.

By the numbers

On the track, Ferrari arrives with a consistent rather than dominant season. Our race data shows 2 wins, 11 podiums and 30 top-ten finishes from 34 starts. Hamilton won in Barcelona and Leclerc at Silverstone, and Leclerc finished second in Singapore two weeks ago.

Mercedes has won 11 of the 17 races so far, so Ferrari's target in Austin is a place on the podium or better rather than a title fight.

What comes next

Austin is round 18 of the season. The race starts on Sunday 25 October at 20:00 UTC, which is 21:00 in Vienna.
