Privacy policy

We take data protection seriously and collect as little data as possible. This website has no user accounts, no forms, no advertising, no cross-site tracking and sets no cookies. We only collect anonymous, aggregated visitor statistics (section 4).

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA (privacy policy). When you visit the site, your browser automatically transmits technical data that the hosting provider processes in server logs:

• IP address
• date and time of the request
• requested page and HTTP status
• browser and operating system (user agent)
• referring website (referrer)

This data is required to deliver the website and to keep it secure (e.g. to defend against attacks). Legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The logs are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period and are not combined with other data. Data may be transferred to the USA; this is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU standard contractual clauses.

3. Contact by e-mail

If you write to us, e-mails to office@paddockcharts.com are forwarded via Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare Inc., USA) to a mailbox at Proton AG (Switzerland). We process your e-mail address and message only to answer your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Visitor statistics (Vercel Web Analytics)

To understand how many people visit the site and which pages are read, we use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider Vercel Inc., USA. It works without cookies and the script is served from our own domain. For each page view the following may be recorded: time, page address, referring website, location derived from the request (country, region, city), operating system, browser and device type. Unique visitors are counted with a hash created from the request; this visitor session is discarded after 24 hours. The recorded data is not associated with your IP address or with any personal identifier and cannot be used to follow you across websites. We only see aggregated statistics.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of the website and improving its content, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU standard contractual clauses. Further information: Vercel Web Analytics privacy.

5. No cookies, advertising or third-party content

We do not use cookies, advertising, social media plugins or other tracking tools. Fonts are served from our own server, so no connection to third-party font providers is made. Race data is loaded on our server, not by your browser.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact us at office@paddockcharts.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
