Norris's LN4 Fusion wins a place on the 2027 Formula 2 grid

Lando Norris's junior team LN4 Fusion has been selected for the Formula 2 championship from 2027. It is the only new team in the series' next three-year cycle and takes over the slot of AIX Racing, whose assets the young outfit bought in September.
A second rung of the ladder
Lando Norris has gone from racing in Formula 1 to owning part of the road that leads there. On 28 October, Formula 2 confirmed that LN4 Fusion, the junior team he co-founded in September, will race in the championship from 2027. It is the only new entry for the series' next three-year cycle.
F2 CEO Bruno Michel said the series received strong interest from teams around the world for the new cycle, and that he was confident LN4 Fusion would make a valuable contribution to the championship. Dan Richards, the team's CEO, called the selection a significant milestone and said the focus now is on building strong foundations and giving drivers and staff the best chance to compete at the top level.
How the entry came together
LN4 Fusion was revealed in early September as a multi-series operation planning to enter Formula 3 and Formula 4. A Formula 2 place was not part of that package: it depended on a separate application. The team then bought selected assets from AIX Racing, a race-winning F2 squad this year, and with them the F2 slot. AIX had already handed its Formula 3 place to the new team.
According to The Race, LN4 Fusion will race under an Italian licence and joins ten established teams that were kept for 2027 to 2029. Together they make up the 22-car grid. The series will also introduce a revised car styled to match the latest Formula 1 chassis regulations.
The people behind it
The sporting side is led by familiar names. Rene Rosin is team principal, and he and Guillaume Capietto return to F2 after years at Prema, where they oversaw title campaigns for Charles Leclerc, Mick Schumacher and Oscar Piastri. Dan Richards leads the investment group that co-founded the team with Norris, and ADD Management, which also manages Norris, runs the driver development programme.
No F2 drivers have been announced. The Formula 3 line-up is known: Dion Gowda, Gabriel Gomez and James Egozi, an all-rookie trio that includes Eurocup-3 champion Egozi. The team also plans Italian and German Formula 4 and Formula Regional entries, and is working on a separate process for the British Formula 4 Championship.
Norris on track in 2026
Norris, the reigning world champion, has had a quieter 2026 on track than the title year. Our data shows him winning two of the first 18 races, in Hungary and the Netherlands, and finishing on the podium five times. His team-owner role is separate from that: LN Racing Kart already covers karting, and LN4 Legacy, which he funds personally, supports talented young drivers who might otherwise miss out.
With F2 secured, LN4 Fusion now covers every step from karts to the rung directly below Formula 1. The next announcements to watch are its F2 driver pairing and any details of the 2027 test programme.
